当地伙伴已经开始行动
7979正与尼泊尔当地伙伴 MCDS（Multipurpose Community Development Service） 配搭，关注灾区需要，并推动第一阶段灾害回应。
8月28日，第一线需求评估展开
MCDS团队已前往 Nuwakot县 Bidur Municipality，与当地教会领袖及地方代表了解受灾社区需要，并针对 Rasuwa、Nuwakot及Dhading 等地区规划援助。
目前关注的需要包括：
食物及基本生活物资 临时住所、毛毯及衣物 卫生及厨房用品 饮水及基础设施恢复 心理创伤关怀 救援及防灾装备
MCDS成立于1994年，是尼泊尔注册的非政府组织，长期参与社区发展及灾害风险减缓工作。我们盼望透过当地伙伴，从紧急救援、灾后恢复到长期重建，持续陪伴受灾社区。

Phase One Response Update
As of 30 August 2026, search and rescue operations are still ongoing in flood-affected areas of Nepal. Water levels in the Bhotekoshi River rose again temporarily, prompting heightened alerts in areas including Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Water levels have now receded, but local authorities continue to closely monitor the situation.

7979 is working alongside our local partner in Nepal, MCDS (Multipurpose Community Development Service), to assess the needs of affected communities and support the first phase of the disaster response. 28 August | On-the-ground needs assessment begins
The MCDS team travelled to Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot District, where they met with local church leaders and community representatives to better understand the needs of affected communities and plan assistance for areas including Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading.
Current priority needs include: Food and basic necessities Temporary shelter, blankets and clothing Hygiene and kitchen supplies Safe drinking water and restoration of basic infrastructure Psychosocial and trauma support Rescue and disaster preparedness equipment
Established in 1994, MCDS is a registered non-governmental organisation in Nepal with longstanding experience in community development and disaster risk reduction.
Through our partnership with local organisations, we hope to continue walking alongside affected communities—from emergency relief and recovery to long-term rebuilding. Please continue to pray for the affected families, search and rescue personnel, and frontline partners. Pray also for wisdom for the local government, churches and relief agencies as they respond to the ongoing needs.
