* 为仍无法回家的受灾家庭和临时安置工作祷告;
* 为仍未能进入的偏远社区祷告,求道路及交通逐步恢复;
* 为灾区后续生活及重建工作祷告 ;
* 为MCDS、Eddy及前线伙伴祷告,求神赐下智慧与力量,并保守他们的安全与体力。

From Field Assessment to Temporary Shelter
7979 Major Disaster Response Advisor, Eddy Hew, is now in Bidur, Nepal, working with local partner MCDS on field assessments and disaster response.
🚧 Some affected areas remain inaccessible
Bidur is currently one of the closest frontline areas reachable by road. More remote communities remain cut off due to damaged roads and bridges, with some areas accessible only by air.
🏕️ Temporary shelter arrangements are underway
Around 450 survivors are currently staying at Shree Chandra Jyoti Secondary School. As the school prepares to resume operations, alternative temporary shelter is needed.
The Mayor of Bidur has approved a temporary tent camp on the football field beside the school, with 25 tents planned for the initial phase. MCDS is also working with UNFPA to provide medical and psychosocial support for women and children.
👕 Support for affected families continues
As of 10 September, MCDS has provided clothing assistance to 150 families, prioritising those who have lost most of their belongings.
The team is also assessing cooking needs, with an initial estimate of around 450 gas stoves required.
🙏 Needs continue to change
As the response moves forward, families are facing needs beyond immediate relief, including temporary shelter, cooking facilities, children’s education and livelihood recovery.
7979 will continue to work alongside MCDS and local partners, responding according to needs on the ground.
🙏 Please continue to pray for Nepal:
• Families who are still unable to return home
• Remote communities that remain inaccessible
• Ongoing recovery and rebuilding needs
• Wisdom, strength, safety and physical well-being for MCDS, Eddy and frontline partners
