Moving into Phase Two

As some roads gradually reopen, MCDS and its local partners continue entering disaster-affected communities to provide relief. They have also identified some affected families who are temporarily staying with local households and are therefore less likely to receive assistance through centralised evacuation centres.

Local community leaders have accompanied the team on house-to-house visits, helping to distribute 15 gas cylinders.

🌱 Moving into Phase Two
After reviewing the progress of the relief response, MCDS and NBCC are gradually shifting their focus towards:
🎒 Back-to-school supplies for children
🧣 Winter and warm clothing supplies
🧼 Family hygiene and women’s hygiene supplies
💛 Psychosocial support

Preparations are currently underway for 800 family hygiene kits and 500 blankets.

Thank you to every brother and sister, church, organisation and partner who has supported the post-disaster response in Nepal. As more affected areas become accessible, the needs for recovery and reconstruction will continue to grow.

The floodwaters have receded, but the response continues.
